dlr Arts Grants

dlr Arts Office is now inviting applications for its annual grant scheme. Grants are available to provide financial assistance to individual artists, arts groups and arts organisations engaged in arts projects or events at local or county level and to support the professional development and arts practice of individual artists, arts groups and organisations.

Training: Tips for Making a Successful Grant Application

In advance of the closing date , we are organising an evening of tips and advice on how to prepare an arts grant application with:

  • Aideen Barry, Visual Artist & Recipient of the Visual Art Commisison 2017
  • Rowena Neville, Arts Consultant

Please note all groups and organisations must be members of the PPN (Public Participation Network). The application form can be found here


Arts Grants

Individual artists, arts groups and arts organisations working in all art-forms (architecture, circus, craft, dance, film, literature, music, opera, spectacle, street art, theatre, traditional arts and visual arts) are welcome to apply.

Arts Access grants are also available to provide financial assistance to Youth Service Providers and Older Persons Groups in order to give these groups access to the Arts. 

Grant recipients:

19 Arts Grants were awarded in 2016.

They will encourage and enable the creation of new projects, events or educational opportunities such as exhibitions, performances and school workshops. The grants will also support artists’ career development.

Additionally, 4 Arts Access Grants were awarded to support our local youth projects. Arts Access Grants are supported by the Department of Children and Youth Affairs.
