Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council supports emerging filmmakers under the dlr First Frames film commissions.
The Lighthouse, written and directed by Ciaran Hickey and produced by Bjorn Mac Giollaa, is currently in post production. It is the story of a young girl who embraces the magic of her seaside town when she befriends the mysterious entity living in the lighthouse by the pier. The team has strong connections to the county as the director/writer and a lot of team members are graduates of the National Film School in IADT.
