Under the new Tenant Purchase Scheme, as an existing tenant you may be eligible to buy your home, from Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, provided you meet the eligibility criteria as set out for the scheme.

Please read the attached DOE Handbook and the DLR Information Booklet in full. 

Attached is the DLR Application Form to be completed in full and returned to The Sales Scheme Section, Housing Department.

 

Section 90 Restrictions For Properties Sold Under Previous Schemes

For Freehold Title Properties: If you wish to sell, transfer or re-mortgage the house within a period of 20 or 25 years from the date of purchase (See Special Conditions on Transfer Order) or before you have acquired full ownership, you will require the consent of the Council.

For Leasehold Title Properties: If a property is held in Leasehold title there is a covenent/condition on the lease stating that the consent of the Council under seal is necessary for any sale until the Freehold has been purchased.
