His Excellency Robin Barnett, the British Ambassador, joined An Cathaoirleach at County Hall this morning to sign the Book of Condolence. Speaking this morning, An Cathaoirleach said,
On behalf of the citizens of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown, I wish to express our deepest sympathies to the families of the victims of this horrific act of terror in Manchester. The fact that an event of this nature was chosen demonstrates the sheer lack of respect for human life. Countless Irish people have relations living across England and we share many common values with our closest neighbour and it is for this reason that I am very grateful to His Excellency, British Ambassador to Ireland, Robin Barnett for joining me in County Hall this morning to show solidarity and friendship to all those affected by this unthinkable tragedy.
Members of the public are invited to sign the Book of Condolence at County Hall, Dún Laoghaire.
The book will be available for signing between the hours of:
Monday to Thursday: 9:00a.m. to 5:00p.m.
Friday: 9:00a.m. to 4:30p.m
