Intro Text

Leading up to Halloween, the Council’s litter wardens, cleansing and parks staff will be vigilant in keeping an eye out for stockpiled bonfire material. The Council endeavours to collect this waste from public lands quickly, where possible. This may be dependent on the safety of our staff as, in some situations, Garda assistance may be required.

Their availability / staffing levels can have an impact on whether we can remove the materials. The public are encouraged to report this stockpiling to the Council by calling 1800 403 503 up to close of business on Friday the 28th October or 01 6778844 after hours / at the weekend / Bank Holiday Monday.

The Council will have parks crew on duty over the weekend and will endeavour to collect as much material as possible.
