The purpose of the closures is to facilitate the running of the Dublin Airtricity Marathon on Sunday 30th October 2016.
Dublin City Council placed an advertisement in the national newspapers on Tuesday 5th October 2016, listing all the public roadways that would require a Temporary Road Closure. Included in the list are the roads within the Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council Area.
The closing date for the receipt of objections was Wednesday 12th October 2016. No objections were received by the closing date.
It is proposed that the roads, within the Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council Area will be temporarily closed from 9.00am to 5.00pm to facilitate the race and to allow sufficient time for a clean up before re-opening to traffic.
Local access will be provided during the closure of Roebuck Road for the Marathon by allowing for continuous access into Ardilea / Louvain Estate from the Mount Anville Road direction and egress via Harlech Grove to Goatstown Road.
Manning of the Road Closures and the diversion of Traffic will be under the Control of the Gardaí and race organisers and will be clearly signposted. Local access will be maintained as fully as possible.
