In accordance with Section 12 [7] of  the Planning & Development Act, 2000 (as amended) (and Regulations made thereunder) notice is hereby given of the preparation of Proposed Amendments to the Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council Draft County Development Plan 2016-2022.

In accordance with Section 12(7)(ab) of the Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended), the Chief Executive  made a determination that a Strategic Environmental Assessment  and Appropriate Assessment are required to be carried out for certain of the proposed material amendments  (Chief Executive’s  Order No. P.Gen 31/15).

A copy of the Proposed Amendments, the determination and the  Strategic Environmental Assessment and Appropriate Assessment of the amendments  will be on display from Tuesday 24th   November, 2015  to  Tuesday 22nd   December, 2015,  inclusive, Monday to Friday, excluding Bank Holiday at the following locations:-     

  • The Concourse, County Hall, Dún Laoghaire (9.00am-5.00pm)
  • Council Offices, Dundrum Office Park (9.30am-12.30pm and 1.30pm-4.30pm)

A copy may be downloaded from the Council’s website, www.dlrcoco.ie

The relevant  documents may also be inspected  at all branches of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown Libraries.

 

Public Information Days:

There will be Public Information Days when staff from the Council’s Planning Department will be available to answer questions and to assist in making a submission.

The Information Days will take place on the dates and at the locations listed below:

County Hall, Dún Laoghaire:

Thursday 3rd  December, 2015  and Tuesday 15th  December, 2015

10:00 a.m.– 1.00p.m. and 5.00p.m – 8.00p.m.

Council Offices, Dundrum Office Park:

Tuesday 1st December, 2015 and Thursday 10th December, 2015

10:00 a.m.– 1.00p.m. and 5.00p.m – 8.00p.m.

Written submissions or observations made on or before Tuesday 22nd  December, 2015 specifically in relation to the proposed  Material Amendments or the Assessments made under Section 12 (7) of the Planning and Development Acts 2000 (as amended) will be taken into account before the Development Plan is made.

Submissions may be made in one of  the following ways:-

  • In writing to Senior Executive Officer, Planning & Organisational Innovation Department, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, County Hall, Marine Road, Dún Laoghaire.
  • by email to devplan@dlrcoco.ie
  • by consultation on the Council’s website at www.dlrcoco.ie

NOTE:  All submissions should include your name and a contact address, a map (where appropriate) and, where relevant, details of any organisation, community group or company etc., which you represent.

Please make your submission by one medium only.

Data Protection

D́un Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council is subject to the provisions of the Data Protection Act.   In order to assist Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council in complying with the Data Protection Act please include your name and contact details on a separate page to the content of your submission/observation.

The Planning process is an open and public one.   In that context, all submission documents are made available for public inspection.   This information may also be placed on the Council’s website.

PLEASE NOTE:

YOU ARE STRONGLY ADVISED TO MAKE YOUR SUBMISSION AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE WITHIN THE STATED PERIOD.

IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 12 [7] OF THE PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT ACT  2000 (as amended)  ONLY SUBMISSIONS IN RELATION TO THE PROPOSED AMENDMENTS AND/OR STRATEGIC ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT AND APPROPRIATE ASSESSMENT  OF THE AMENDMENTS   RECEIVED  DURING  THE  STATED  FOUR   WEEK  PERIOD   WILL BE TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION.

SUBMISSIONS NOT ADHERING TO THESE CRITERIA WILL BE CONSIDERED INVALID.

CLOSING DATE FOR SUBMISSIONS:  5.00 p.m. Tuesday 22nd December, 2015.

LATE SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
