New Tourist Information Centre opens in Dun Laoghaire

11/06/2013

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council is pleased to announce the opening of a Tourist Information Centre (TIC) at the entrance to County Hall, Marine Road, Dún Laoghaire.

The licence to run the TIC was awarded to CK Enterprises following a tender process earlier this year. The entrance to County Hall has been refurbished and adapted to provide a separate entrance that will allow for weekend opening. The summer opening hours will be 11am - 6pm Monday to Sunday, with shorter opening hours planned for the winter.

The TIC will provide visitors to Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County with information on the area and offer a range of services including; accommodation referrals, booking service for a variety of tours, outdoor and indoor activities, information on festivals, exhibitions and events, dining out and a wide variety of evening entertainment and much more. The staff of the TIC will help promote the area and local businesses with their primary aims being the enhancement of the visitor experience and to act as a hub of information to tourists and locals alike.

We encourage all local businesses and groups to drop in, say hello and provide them with promotional literature or other relevant information pertaining to their activities.
