Event Description

You are invited to celebrate Dublin Climate Action Week 2025 by joining us as we put the spotlight on Ireland’s diverse and brilliant bird species. Hosted by DLR’s Climate Action, Biodiversity and Libraries Teams, the event will begin with an insightful talk from Anne Murray, dlr Biodiversity Officer, about the interesting birds to be found here in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown, and how we can protect them. Following the talk, you can enjoy a screening of Birdsong, a poignant documentary that captures the journey of Ornithologist Seán Ronayne from Cobh, Co. Cork, who is on a mission to record the sound of every bird species in Ireland – that’s nearly 200 birds!

Whether you’re an avid birdwatcher, a nature enthusiast, or simply curious about the natural world, don’t miss this opportunity to deepen your understanding of the birds in our local environment.
