dlr Grants Round 2 - We have grants available for Environment & Climate Action and Business Area Promotion.

The grants are now open for applications until Thursday, March 28th at 12:00pm.

Business Area Promotion Grants

Business Area Promotion Grants are an opportunity for recognised business groups to apply for funding to support their promotions, plans and projects. These can objectives aimed at increasing footfall, promoting and sustaining business and working on collaborative projects that improve their local area as a place to do business.

Environment and Climate Action Grants

The Environment and Climate Action Grant supports residents’ associations, tidy district, and tidy town groups to enhance and improve their local public areas. The maximum available under the 2024 grant scheme is €800. Under the 2024 grant scheme, applications are invited for any of the following:

  • purchase of plants or trees for public areas,
  • purchase of estate name stones,
  • hosting of local environmental talks, workshops or local environmental / climate action campaigns (e.g. anti-litter or waste prevention campaigns),
  • purchase of minor non-mechanised equipment to assist with a planting project (e.g. spade, trowel, gloves), or a combination of the above.
