Come and hear about the wonderful story of the Red Squirrel Project in Killiney Hill Park, one of the only remaining viable populations in Dublin County. Hear about the re-introduction of the reds to the park and the threats posed by the grey squirrel.

Then join DLR and the Dublin Bat Group on a walk in Cabinteely Park to discover our local bats and their habitats. Equipped with the latest bat detector technology, we hope to glimpse several of our native bats. All age groups welcome.

DLR Fernhill Meadow Adventure by OWLS

Celebrate Heritage week with a journey into a unique old farmland meadow at Fernhill Park! We will be armed with nets, bug jars, animal tracking sheets and more as we set out to discover life in the meadows of Fernhill. Bring your detective hat as we will be searching for clues as to what is living in these meadows.This is one of the few remaining meadow habitats in the county with a wonderful mix of plants and insects.
