Intro Text

The Council’s Housing Department has an Anti-Social Section that deals with complaints of Anti-Social behaviour and any breaches of the tenancy agreement in local authority estates in accordance with the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act  2014.

Complaints can be made to the Section by phone 01-2054700 ext. 4112, 4183, or 24hr voicemail 01-2054807

or in writing to:

Anti-Social Section, Housing Department,

Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council,

Marine Rd.,

Dún Laoghaire,

Co. Dublin.

The section investigates complaints of drug dealing, violence, threats, intimidation, harassment, trespass, criminal damage, and lesser offences of breach of the tenancy agreement. Most Anti-Social Behaviour is a criminal offence and the Council will liaise with An Garda Siochana in this regard.

The Section will not investigate noise complaints where it involves only one complainant.  A S108 Environmental Protection Agency Act is the appropriate remedy in these circumstances.

The Council has new legislation available to it to deal with Anti-Social Behaviour by way of Tenancy Warnings /Repossession Proceedings or Excluding Orders.

The Council’s strategy which reflects the new legislation and procedures can be found below.
