Biodiversity Walk Fernhill  ***Change of time***

August 21st 2017. Meeting at Main Gate of Fernhill Park and Gardens, Enniskerry Road, Stepaside. Start time 11am Finish time 12.30    Please note there is no parking in Fernhill Estate.

A guided biodiversity walk through this wonderful estate at the foothills of the Dublin mountains will be led by Faith Wilson. It will be an interesting exploration of the gardens and woodland to learn about the flora and fauna of Fernhill.

Faith Wilson is an ecological consultant and bat specialist. Faith is currently assisting DLR with the ecological aspects of the management of fernhill.

Bat Walk Cabinteely Park

August 22nd 2017.  Meeting in front of Cabinteely House Main Door. Start time 20:15 Finish time 22:00.

Scott Cawley's bat specialist will lead this interesting bat walk. Feel free to come along if you would like to learn more about bats. Sonic Bat Detectors will be used to identify bats on the wing.

Please wear suitable clothing and footwear for these outdoor events. These events form part of National Heritage Week 2017 which will take place from 19-27 August and the focus this year, as indicated by the new logo, is on Ireland’s nature.
