Senior Resident Engineer
Overview
Each candidate must, on the latest date for receipt of completed application forms:

Hold an honours degree (level 8 in the National Framework of Qualifications) in Engineering.

Have at least seven years satisfactory relevant post qualification engineering experience including a period of not less than five years satisfactory experience in the direction and supervision of major engineering work.

Possess a high standard of technical training and experience.

Possess a high standard of administrative and management experience.

Have satisfactory knowledge of public service organisation.
Each candidate must have:

Have an extensive knowledge of civil engineering works, project management, cost control and contract documentation.

Be capable of writing clear and concise reports.

Be proficient in the use of IT in relation to document handling and production of reports.

Hold a current unendorsed full driving licence (Category B) for the duration of their contract as they will drive a motor car in the course of their duties and for this purpose provide and maintain a car to the satisfaction of the Local Authority. Their motor insurance policy must indemnify the Council.

Be a holder of a current SAFEPASS card.

All non-EU/EEA citizens must hold a valid work permit prior to and for the duration of their contract.
