Celebrate Dún Laoghaire with Coastival and Atmosphere our seaside event themed around Balloons, Kites and Flight on Newtownsmith, Dún Laoghaire from 1pm to 5pm on Saturday July 1st and Sunday July 2nd 2023.

Entry to Atmosphere will be free of charge with no booking or ticket required.

The Kite Zone will be unmissable with stunt kites, large static kites and tournaments hosted by Francois and the Pure Magic team. Master kite flyers will demonstrate their skills and creations and expert kiters will give workshops on kite aerodynamics and design. There will be kite flying competitions and a chance to make your own kite in the "make and do" area. Don't forget to bring your own kite, so you can enjoy the full experience, as we will have a limited supply available at the event.

Want to be a Rocket Scientist! The Anyone 4 Science flight team will be at Atmosphere to show you how to make a mini rocket to start your career as an Astronaut.

The Balloon Zone will feature top professional balloon modellers showing off their skills creating models of Planes, Animals, Cartoon Characters and lots more. You will have the chance to take home your very own balloon model.

If you've no head for heights or don't want to fly kites, Atmosphere will keep you entertained and relaxed in the Chill Zone featuring Volleyball skills, beach games, strolling characters and beach loungers.

PLEASE REMEMBER:

Walk or use public transport if you are coming to Atmosphere.

There is no designated event parking for Atmosphere.

The nearest DART stations are Sandycove & Glasthule or Dún Laoghaire. Use journeyplanner to plan your journey on pubic transport.
