The position of Executive Technician lies within various departments within the Council. They may have 
responsibility for coaching and mentoring the performance of a section or function within a department. They 
will work as part of a multidisciplinary team within the Council, assisting with the implementation of work 
programmes to achieve goals, targets and standards set out in the Departmental and Team development plans. 
An Executive Technician is expected to use initiative, work to a high standard and have excellent interpersonal 
and communication skills.

Successful applicants may be assigned to any service area/role within the local authority by the Chief Executive 
at any time and the role may span from major and minor road infrastructure projects, active travel and transport 
schemes, urban regeneration, civic, cultural and amenity provision, coastal protection and more
