Placing a Skip in a Paid Parking Bay
Skip operators must obtain a Skip Operator Licence. Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council issue a licence to Skip Companies to operate the provision of skips within the administrative area of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council.
Skip operators must have a valid Waste Collection Licence from the National Waste Collection Permit Office before applying for a Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council Skip Operator Licence. A Skip Operator Licence application is made to the Traffic Section of the Transportation Department.
A list of Licenced Skip Operators is also available from the Traffic Section of the Transportation Department.
Permits for Placement of a skip in a Paid Parking Bay
To put a skip on a public road where parking restrictions apply, a licenced skip operator must obtain a permit to suspend a Paid Parking Bay from the Council.
Permits can only be obtained by a licenced skip operator and residents in Paid Parking areas must deal directly with the skip operator, who will in turm obtain a permit from the Council.
