Puppeteer: Varna State Puppet Theatre

After a concert in a large theatre, the performers put down various bits and 
pieces on a table backstage and depart for the night. The things they have 
left then come to life, become characters, and put on a delightful musical 
performance of their own in which they show their amazing abilities. When 
the actors return in the morning, everything is in its right place… or is it? This 
is an entertaining show for children of all ages in which there are no rules 
and in which classical music is mixed with other styles of music to make the 
point that it is all music. We welcome Varna State Puppet Theatre who visit 
us in Dún Laoghaire all the way from Bulgaria for these special performances.

 
Varna State Puppet Theatre is supported by The Golden Dolphin, a nonprofit organization to which all the actors belong. The Golden Dolphinproduces performances for spectators of various ages: classical and modern 
pieces for children, entertaining and avant-garde productions for adults, 
and educational performances for students. Since 1972, together with the 
Ministry of Culture, the Municipality of Varna and The State Puppet Theatre 
Varna, the Golden Dolphin has organised an International Puppet Festival 
which is held every three years.

Allegro Vivace is an actors’ production devised by Vera Stoykova, Diana 
Tsolevska, Galin Ginev, Stoyan Stoyanov with scenography by Ognyana 
Serafimova.
