Booterstown – translated as “The Town of the Road” – grew up along the main road from Dublin, through Blackrock and on to Wicklow and along another ancient route, now called Booterstown Avenue. This area has had its churches, its castle and many eminent occupants and still has a great collection of eighteenth-century houses. This tour lifts the lid on Booterstown and its long history.
