Dún Laoghaire set to paint the town green with the return of St Patrick's Day Parade in 2025
The much-anticipated Dún Laoghaire St Patrick's Day Parade is set to make a triumphant return this year, with St Patrick himself arriving on the LE Samuel Beckett Navy Ship at Dún Laoghaire Harbour to announce the exciting news. Joined by Chief Executive Frank Curran and Councillor Jim O'Leary, Cathaoirleach of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, as well as Elected Members, St Patrick heralded the return of this beloved community event.
The parade, scheduled for 17 March at 11am, promises to be a spectacular celebration of Irish culture and community spirit. Starting at Islington Avenue (Newtownsmith) and ending at Marine Road, the parade will feature a variety of groups including Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Eireann, Irish Coast Guard, Ukelele Hooley, Twilight twirlers, RNLI, Dún Laoghaire Tidy Towns, Goat Boat Tours, local sports clubs, dancers, and much more.
Don’t miss out on this exciting event - mark your calendars for 17 March and join us for a fun-filled day in Dún Laoghaire. The parade is organised by Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council and the Dún Laoghaire Business Association. Further information to follow.
