Open House Junior

Open House Dublin, architecture festival starts with a dedicated Junior Weekend for children and families from 12-13 October. Experience an interactive, educational, augmented reality (AR) game at Marlay House, join a family walking tour and the children’s creative workshops in the dlr LexIcon, Dún Laoghaire on 12 October. Junior Weekend events will feature a drop-in workshop for children and teens, on 13 October, to discuss their ideas for their local outdoor play-meeting spaces and skate parks, with a particular focus on the outdoor spaces proposed for the Samuel Beckett Campus. A LEGO competition will run online as part of the festival, inviting children everywhere to get building.

An Cathaoirleach of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, Councillor Jim O’Leary said: 

“Open House Dublin is a calendar highlight in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown each October because of the wonderful opportunity it gives people, including children and families, to discover, explore and enjoy aspects of local architecture and the built environment in a fun and invigorating way. I encourage everyone to join in the wonderful line-up of free events that will be taking place next month.”
