SENIOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
Overview
The Senior Economic Development Officer (SEDO) is a management role within the Planning and Economic Development Department in Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown. The SEDO will be responsible for the research, analysis and presentation of economic and business data to inform DLR decision making. The successful candidate will be required to make a contribution to the establishment of an economic data repository to assist in the longer term development of the strategic direction of DLR. Success will be measured by the impact of economic data research, analysis for a diverse range of stakeholders and presentation in concise formats to end users.
The appointee will be prohibited from engaging in or having any connection with any outside business or activity that would interfere with the performance of the duties of the position and/or lead to a conflict of interest.
The primary role of the Senior Economic Development Officer is to support the Head of Economic Development in Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown, to progress Local Economic & Community Plans (LECP) and the Tourism Strategy, strengthening Dun Laoghaire as a primary location to live, work and visit.
