National Heritage Week, an initiative of the Heritage Council, runs from August 17th to 25th.  Local communities and national institutions all across the country are taking part by organising events to celebrate our shared natural, built and cultural heritage.

There are over 2,000 events taking place across the country this year, and many talks, walks, tours, workshops and exhibitions to explore here in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown.

This year’s theme - Connections, Routes and Networks - invites us to explore the ways we are connected to each other through physical or cultural connections.

The programme for Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown features a broad and diverse range of events, from a Family Fun Day at UCD's Classical Museum, through to a Street Art tour of Dún Laoghaire and incorporating a Bat Walk and Talk in Loughlinstown Wood.
