How do I submit an application to purchase lands in Council ownership?

Is there any charge for this service?


Yes there is a charge of € 200.00 for domestic and € 350.00 for commercial


What happens after I submit my application form? 

Once the completed Application Form, appropriate fee and map have been received by Property Management Section, the Council considers the application and engages in the following process:
  1. Departmental Approval – The application will be assessed by Council Service Departments.
  2. Valuation & Agreement – The land needs to be valued and agreed by both parties.
  3. Council Approval – The proposed land then needs to be approved by resolution of the Full Council of the Elected Members, and if agreed:
  4. Legal – The sale of the land is referred for legal representation to the Council’s Law Department.
