Recycled Christmas Competition 2024

🎄 The Recycling Christmas Decoration Competition is Back! 🎄

In Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council we are dreaming of a Green Christmas and are delighted to announce the return of the Recycled Christmas Competition for 2024.

The school-favourite competition tasks primary students across the county to save Christmas (and waste!) by transforming their unused household items into fantastic festive decorations. The competition, which has run for over 20 years, has seen thousands of inventive decorations from students which show that reuse and recycling can be the answer to overconsumption this Christmas.

Entrants to the competition will be celebrated during our Recycling Christmas Celebration Ceremony, including awards for the age categories, spot prizes and festive activities.
