DLR Road Sweeping Schedules will be temporarily suspended

The DLR Road Sweeping schedules will be temporarily suspended from the start of October 2024 to enable the Sweeping Crews to concentrate on heavy leaf fall areas within the County.

During the Autumn and Winter months each year, DLR suspend all sweeping schedules and deploy the entire road sweeping operation to focus on leaf collection throughout the county.

Areas with higher densities of trees and vegetation are targeted with more frequent sweeping. In particular, areas sensitive to flooding, highly pedestrianised areas, cycle lanes and busy roads are prioritised. In addition, requests for service from the public also are prioritised.

The Road Sweeping Schedules will most likely be reinstated in late January 2025 when the majority of the leaf fall has already occurred.
