Domestic Wastewater Treatment Systems Grants
The Department of Housing, Local Government & Heritage have grants available to homeowners towards the cost of remediation, repair, upgrading or replacing of their failing Domestic Wastewater Treatment Systems, (DWWTS) which are also known as septic tanks. There are three different situations in which grants are available:
- Your DWWTS has failed an inspection carried out under the National Inspection Plan (NIP).
- Your DWWTS is located in a Priority Area for Action as referenced in the current draft River Basin Management Plan 2022-2027.
- Your DWWTS is located in a High Status Objective Catchment Area (HSOCA) as referenced in the current draft River Basin Management Plan 2022-2027.
Please click here and enter your Eircode to see if your property may be eligible for the HSOCA grant scheme. This story map will assist potential applicants to identify if their house is located in a High Status Objective Catchment Area as referenced in the draft River Basin Management Plan 2022-2027
Please refer to the application forms and Terms & Conditions documents below for each of the three different categories of grant scheme.
