Join our Adult Open Art Studio, it doesn't matter if you are new to this sort of thing or a practicing artist, come along. Artist Kim Jenkinson will be on hand to help, materials freely
available.

Crazy Colourful Kingdom: An Immersive Play Environment
Artists Joanna and Bethan Parkes invite all 2 to 4 year olds to enter a world of colour and fun. What can you discover in the bright and cheerful kingdom with multi-coloured animals, a yellow castle, pink mountains, and a rainbow volcano. Colourful sand, rice and coconut to touch and feel, jelly lit up inside to squish and squeeze…
When: Saturday 12 July: 11am, 12pm, 2pm and 3pm
Sunday 13 July: 12pm, 1pm and 2pm
Each session lasts 40 minutes

Eco Printmaking Family Drop-in sessions
Create prints with artists Siobhán Cox and Éabha Cleary using Tetra Pak cartons. Learn how to prepare a recycled print plate, techniques for inking up and how to use our printing press.
If you have a Tetra Paks at home (the silver lined ones work best) please bring them along.
Wear something you don’t mind getting inky or bring an apron!

Family Gallery Tours of ‘Returning/Heritage’
Join artist Julie Merriman for these family friendly tours of Maeve McCarthys exhibition now on show in the Gallery. Explore the artworks together, chat with Julie about them, with time to do some simple artworks of your own to take home in response to what you see.

Brain Health Gallery Tours
Enjoy a seated, informal tour of upcoming exhibitions in the dlr LexIcon Municipal Gallery. These tours are designed for anyone who is interested in promoting their brain health, anyone who notices changes in their memory and anyone living with dementia. Julie
Merriman, Claire Halpin and Órla Goodwin are trained to support people living with dementia.
They will facilitate these sessions to ensure an inclusive experience.
As part of the experience enjoy a cup of tea and a chance to chat and meet new people.

Returning / Heritage by artist Maeve McCarthy RHA
The exhibition features new paintings, charcoal drawings, objects and a film exploring the Artists’ mother’s family story, from their roots in County Down to her grandparents’ move from
Kilmainham to Sandycove in the 1930s.

Celebrating 30 Year of Arts in Primary Schools
We are delighted to celebrate 30 years of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council’s Arts in Primary Schools Programme. To mark this big birthday, a worksheet for children by celebrated illustrator Chris Judge has been sent to all the Primary Schools in the County, highlighting the many ways of being creative.

Nature and Place
Nature and Place is a series of temporary works, taking inspiration from the forests of Ticknock, Tibradden, Barnaslingan, Carrickgollogan, Kilmashogue and Ballyedmonduff.
Opportunity for Artists: We're inviting applications from professional artists for the 2025 project. This opportunity is for temporary work to take place between September and November 2025. The closing date for receipt of applications is Thursday 12 June at 17.00 (5pm). Find out how to apply here
