RNLI Water Safety Ireland Webinar - Festive Dips

Event Description

The RNLI water safety team in the Ireland Region are hosting two webinars for swimmers intending to take part in festive dips over the coming holiday season. The webinars will take place on Monday the 9th and 16th of December at 8:00 pm.

They will cover the following wide range of topics and will also include a Q & A session.

  • Understanding weather and tide
  • Location, entry and egress
  • Swim hat and tow floats use
  • Calling for help
  • Acclimatisation
  • Float to live
  • Dealing with cold water shock

Join us to ask any questions you may have to stay safe in and around the water this holiday season.

The purpose of the webinar is to provide general water safety messaging to participants, focusing on swimming and cold water shock only. The RNLI does not accept any responsibility for the promotion, organisation, running or management of any third party fundraising event, challenge or other similar initiatives. Responsibility for the safety and welfare of participants is a matter to be determined by the swim organizer
