St. Patrick's Day Parade Dún Laoghaire
The St Patrick’s Day Parade in Dún Laoghaire is set to be a spectacular event this year, with over 50 groups taking part in the festivities. We are excited to announce that our grand marshal for the parade will be boxer Jack Marlay, an Olympic hopeful from Monkstown.
Join us on St Patrick’s Day from 11am as the parade makes its way along the coast of Dún Laoghaire, starting at Islington Avenue (Newtownsmith) and ending at the Victoria Fountain.
The parade will feature a variety of groups, including the Irish Naval Service, Irish Coast Guard, local sports clubs, Ukelele Hooley, Twilight twirlers, RNLI, and many more.
As part of the St Patrick’s Day celebrations, the LÉ George Bernard Shaw will dock at Carlisle Pier, Dún Laoghaire Harbour and offer two open days for the public to tour the ship on Saturday and Sunday. More information here.
In addition to the parade, the Dún Laoghaire CoCo Markets will be open on St Patrick's Day, and a new virtual experience will take place in the People’s Park from 12-4pm. Join in the fun by downloading the app and helping us find the Carlichaun Leprechuans. See their instagram account for more details here.
