Cuairt agus Cultúr Programme 2024-25

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown (dlr) County Council is looking for Artists, Creative and Wellbeing Facilitators/Practitioners to work with residents in residential care settings and older people attending local day services in dlr on our Cuairt agus Cultúr Programme 2024-25.

Cuairt agus Cultúr is a collaboration between dlr Age Friendly Programme, dlr Arts Office and dlr Library Service. The programme supports creative and wellbeing activities in residential and day service centres in the County. The main purpose of this call out is to facilitate an artist/practitioner or group of artists/practitioners to explore creativity and/or wellbeing with older people in either a residential or day service in the County. This can include but is not limited to visual art practice, music, storytelling, gardening, movement/dance, creative writing, photography, craftwork and wellbeing therapies.

This programme aims to nurture a meaningful and sustained creative engagement between an artist/practitioner or group of artists/practitioners and residents, day care centre attendees, families and staff of care settings within the County. Successful applicants will be matched to one local care setting. This call out aims to support artists working in care settings, as well as to deepen the value of the arts and wellbeing in these settings.

Deadline for applications is 2pm, Monday 16, September.
