Professional actors bring the history to life with a fun theatre performance as part of the guided tour.Witness the extraordinary work of the Archer, the Cook and the travelling Barber-Surgeon. Would you like hedgehog pie for dinner? The cook makes it as a special treat!
Meet the Archer and test your strength on the Longbow. Guess which arrow heads went through chainmail. See how far he could shoot his arrows. Read and follow the time line from early Christian through Viking, Medieval, Victorian and modern times in Dalkey on the interactive screens in the Heritage Centre. Explore the area’s literary and creative connections in the Writers’ Gallery.
Climb to the battlements for panoramic views of sea and mountains. Enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the 10th century Church and Graveyard.
On site there is a medieval castle/fortified townhouse, an early Christian Church, a state of the art Heritage Centre (with information in 12 languages) and a Writers’ Gallery with portraits and interactive screens with the work of 45 writers and creative artists from Joyce to Beckett, Binchy, Bono and more…

Concession: €7.50 per person.
Child: €6.50 per person (over 4 under 12).
Family: €25.00 (2 adults + 2 children under 12).
Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
