This project addressed two important features within the town. The remaining section of the boundary of the People’s Park interfacing with the Metals was upgraded. The boundary work included a new pedestrian entrance at the playground and a new gate into the compound.
The surface along the Metals Route was also upgraded. This finished surface ties in with the finish along other stretches of the Metals Route towards Dún Laoghaire town.
