Take a trip on the Seaside Discovery from Dún Laoghaire Harbour to Sandycove. This new free bus tour starts at Dún Laoghaire Harbour and operates daily between 9:30am - 5:00pm throughout the summer months (ending on Monday, 12th August 2024).
Starting from the historic Dún Laoghaire Harbour, the 45-minute round-trip will take you on a scenic route to Sandycove, stopping at the Royal Marine Hotel, People’s Park, Dún Laoghaire Baths and the James Joyce Tower.
There are 8 hop-on/hop-off stops in total along the route which are:
- Dún Laoghaire Harbour (Harbour Road - beside the Ferry Terminal Building)
- Royal Marine Hotel, dlr LexIcon Library and National Maritime Museum
- George’s Street (Shopping Centre)
- Dún Laoghaire Baths/People’s Park
- James Joyce Tower, Sandycove
- Opposite Caviston’s Glasthule
- Opposite Dún Laoghaire Shopping Centre
- McKenna’s (St Michael’s Hospital)
This service was a 12-week pilot programme specifically for cruise ship passengers and was also available for tourists and locals.
