In the context of key duties and responsibilities for the post of Referencer, the ideal candidate will demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and competencies:

It is desirable that the ideal candidate should:

• Demonstrate sound practical knowledge of associated disciplines e.g. legal searches, land titles, leases, licenses and contracts.

• Demonstrable knowledge of Mapping and Map reading;

• Knowledge of Planning and Building Control enforcement process;

• Knowledge of the record of protected structures and forward planning provisions;

• Knowledge of Local Government and relevant property law;

• Have an awareness of relevant legislation and regulations in the area of Health and Safety, the implications for the organisation and the employee, and their application in the workplace.
