A Status Red Weather Warning for Storm Éowyn has been issued by Met Eireann, effective from 6am until 11am on Friday, 24 January.
Storm Eowyn will bring severe, damaging and extremely destructive gusts in excess of 130km/h.
People are encouraged to take shelter during the storm as Storm Éowyn will bring a danger to life.
All Council Buildings will be closed on 24 January, including County Hall, Dundrum Office, Libraries and Leisure Centres.
All Cemeteries, Parks and Recycling Centres will be closed for the duration of the storm and will only re-open after they have been assessed for damage
Emergency Crews are on standby to monitor the situation and respond as required
Please stay away from the sea and remain indoors.
