Anti-Dog Fouling Poster Competition 2024

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council is delighted to bring back the Anti-Dog Fouling Poster Competition for 2024. Through this competition primary school students in Dún laoghaire-Rathdown were offered the opportunity to win prizes, certificates and to get their posters displayed on Bigbelly bins around the county!

In honour of World Ocean Day and to raise awareness on the dangers of dog fouling on our beaches, an additional category was added to this year's competition. The two categories for this years competition were:

  1. Dog Poo on the Beach
  2. Dog Poo on the Pavement

With almost 100 submissions received, we were blown away by the creativity and talent on display from all entrants as well as the passion for keeping Dún laoghaire-Rathdown's beaches and parks clean and safe for everyone. With such an impressive array of submissions received, reminding us of the importance of picking up after our dogs, we are proud to present all submissions in the gallery below for everyone to enjoy.

Dog Poster Competition Winners:

After careful deliberation six winners from each age category were chosen as winners of the Anti-Dog Fouling Poster Competition 2024. The eighteen winning posters will be used  to raise awareness regarding dog fouling on beaches and pavement throughout the county including being promoted on Bigbelly bins.

The Environmental Awareness Team will be in contact with schools regarding prizes and special category winners which are yet to be announced. If you have any questions please get in touch via envaware@dlrcoco.ie.
