Corporate Plan 2025-2029

Councillors in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown adopted a new Corporate Plan for the 5 year period 2025-2029.

The Plan was developed following extensive consultation with the public, community groups, local citizen interest organisations, business groups, Council staff, Councillors and other stakeholders.

 The aim was to gather as wide a view as possible on what aspirations and priorities people had for their County. Following this consultation period, the Corporate Plan was drafted and developed, taking on board existing council plans, public consultation views and relevant legislation.

The Plan is much more than just another Council document; it provides a strategic framework for the Council's vision for the County, it’s goals for the next five years and the core values which will guide the Council's work over the lifetime of the Plan. It is available to read here and will shortly be available at any one of our local libraries.

The Vision for the County

A progressive, sustainable, inclusive and accessible county underpinned by a strong economy.

A number of themes emerged as priorities and these led to the formation of 5 strategic pillars in the plan with a number of goals and objectives under each. The 5 strategic pillars are as follows;

  1. Housing, Infrastructure & Planning
  2. Connected Communities and Culture
  3. Climate Action
  4. Economic Development & Tourism
  5. Operational Excellence

This Corporate Plan is your plan, informed by you and your aspirations for your county.

Delivering on our corporate priorities will give everyone across our county, irrespective of age or ability, the opportunity to live life to the full in safe, connected and thriving communities.

We care about your feedback. Have your say.
