An t-Earrach, Springtime, is nearly here and the Irish Office is excited to announce a series of events for Seachtain na Gaeilge and St. Patrick's Day, aimed at promoting the Irish language and celebrating our rich cultural heritage.

Seachtain na Gaeilge, running from 1-17 March will feature a variety of activities designed to engage both staff and the public in the Irish language. Highlights include:

  • Irish Language Workshops: Interactive sessions for all skill levels, focusing on conversational Irish and practical usage in daily life.
  • Cultural Events: Traditional music and dance performances, and Irish comedy sessions to immerse participants in Irish culture.
  • Community Initiatives: Collaborations with local community groups to promote Irish on a morning fun run and Ceol and Gaeltacht Pop-Up.

On March 17 we will celebrate St. Patrick's Day with two local parades in Dún Laoghaire and Stepaside, showcasing our commitment to the Irish language and culture. We invite everyone to join us in celebrating Seachtain na Gaeilge and St. Patrick's Day, and to embrace the Irish language in their daily lives.

A list of events for SnaG can be found here.
