Chicken Out

A cash-strapped dad decides to be a mascot of a chicken takeaway to make ends meet for his young family. They need to leave the nest of his overbearing mother, but will the plucky dad be able to last being dressed as a chicken! Written by Imelda Carroll, it is directed by Richard Keane and produced by Nadege Dumont.  Chicken Out was filmed in Dundrum & Dún Laoghaire.

Don’t Go Where I Can’t Find You


Margaret, a composer, suffers a catastrophic loss when her partner meets a violent end. Freya believed there were spirits in the house – and the pursuit plunged her to her death. In the silence of grief, Margaret becomes obsessed with a recording of Freya’s fatal fall – and something shifts in the house. Someone is still there….

To draw out the spectre from the shadows, Margaret creates a suite of music. Her lead violinist, Louise is concerned – and the secrets of their relationship begin to surface. As Freya’s ghost begins to step out from the shadows, Margaret starts to lose control on reality and slips dangerously close to the edge of the abyss…. Written by Riognach Ní Ghroighair, it is directed by Riognach and produced by Claire McCabe.

 

dlr First Frames aims to provide funding and support to emerging filmmakers looking to develop ambitious and creative short films based in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown.  The Scheme is fully funded by Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council Arts Office and Economic Development Unit, and managed by IADT.  Additional equipment and facilities support are provided by the National Film School, IADT.
