Are you an artist? dlr seeking creative responses to Marlay House

The Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown Heritage Office invites arts and crafts practitioners to submit proposals for participation in a pilot initiative.
What we offer
- Artist commission of €3,500 - we will be selecting two artists for this project
- Guided tour of the house and its artefacts/artwork
- DLR will prepare an online and printed publication to mark the occasion of this pilot initiative
What is expected of the artist
- To visit Marlay house and choose an object as inspiration for a new artwork in any medium
- To complete the work within the required timeframe (note: working space is not provided as part of this commission)
- To engage with a project videographer/photographer commissioned by Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council to document the process

This initiative is funded by the Creative Ireland Programme, and is subject to a very short timeframe due to funding requirements. Commission must be completed by 25th November 2020.
