Join Dublin’s biggest community clean-up this September!

All residents are invited to take part. By participating in organised clean-ups, groups and individuals come together to make a positive difference not only in their own community but also globally. Free litter-pick equipment (gloves, bags and pickers) is available from Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council under their Community Clean-up Scheme. The Council can also collect the litter bags after the event.

Dún Laoghaire Tidy Towns is a voluntary community group working endlessly for a cleaner, tidier, greener, nicer and lively town in which to live, work, shop, stroll and visit. This group established only eighteen months ago, has grown to well over one hundred volunteers and has made a real and tangible difference to the town of Dún Laoghaire. Speaking at the launch of the Dublin Community Clean-up, Mary O’Keeffe mentioned that;

“Dún Laoghaire Tidy Towns Group is committed to improving our local area and have recruited a team of selfless volunteers who organise regular litter picks and green projects throughout the town to protect our parks, streets and open spaces. I see the negative impacts litter can have on the environmental quality and amenity of our unique coastal area. Dún Laoghaire residents have pride in their area, value their heritage and their environment. Our mission is to Clean, Green, Nurture and Preserve. We are delighted to be part of the launch of this anti-litter collective call to action that takes a stand against people who litter.”

"We were delighted to be part of the Dublin Community Clean-up event again for 2021.  Over the last year and a half so many of us have benefited from spending time exploring the beauty of our locality.  The Dublin Community Clean-up gives us an opportunity to give back and help protect our environment into the future".
