An advisory notice has been placed at Seapoint Beach due to elevated levels of e-coli in the water.

We are advising the public not to swim at Seapoint Beach for the next five days.

All 5 bathing areas in the County had water samples taken on the 26th July 2021 with an additional sample taken at Seapoint Beach on the 27th July 2021 due to a weather warning with the below results:

The results from Seapoint showed elevated bacteria levels and following HSE advice, dlr have erected an Advisory Notice advising not to swim at Seapoint due to an increase in the levels of bacteria found in the bathing water sample taken on the 27th of July.

These notices will be in place for 5 days.

Further testing will take place and updates will be available on our website at dlrcoco.ie/BathingWater and on beaches.ie
