Christmas, New Year & Level 5 Service Arrangements in dlr
All Council buildings will be closed Wednesday, December 24th, with essential services remaining operational
Full services recommence Monday, January 4th, with Level 5 restrictions in place
Essential services will be maintained over the Christmas break and the Council will recommence its wider scheduled services from January 4th, but with Level 5 restrictions meaning changes to access for the public.

Building Access
Public access to County Hall will be limited to urgent business only due to Level 5 restrictions. Access will be by appointment only.
The Council can be contacted on 01 2054700 and info@dlrcoco.ie from January 4th onwards for non-urgent business. Dundrum Area Office is closed.
Municipal Services
Although all Council buildings will be closed until January 4th, outdoor services will continue, including:
- All parks and cemeteries remaining open
- Cleansing & sweeping ongoing
- Water and drainage works continuing
- Road maintenance and winter gritting will be ongoing as per their schedules and during cold weather events
The public are asked not to visit the Forty Foot, Sandycove, and Seapoint bathing areas on Christmas Day & St. Stephen's Day - as is usually traditional - in order to avoid the spread of COVID-19

Planning
The Planning offices are closed from December 24th until January 3rd, after which point they can be contacted on 01 205 4871 and planning@dlrcoco.ie
dlr Libraries
All libraries will be closed from December 24th to January 4th. Thereafter, Level 5 restrictions will be in place. All branch Libraries, including the dlr LexIcon will be closed to the public, so all library services will be online only. There will be no Contact & Collect service operating but the Book Drop Service to the elderly will continue.

Community Call Helpline
Community Call Helpline (1800 804 535) will be open 7 days a week 9am to 5pm over the Christmas / New Year period.
dlr Leisure
dlr Leisure gyms in Loughlinstown, Monkstown, Meadowbrook, and Ballyogan will be open over for most of the the Christmas New Year period
- December 23rd: Close at 2pm
- Decmeber 24th - 27th: CLOSED
- December 28th - 31st: Open 10am to 5pm; all activities must be pre-booked directly with the centres. See dlr Leisure website below for more.
- January 1st: CLOSED
- January 2nd: Return to normal operating hours

Community Centres
Over the Christmas Break Community centres will be closed from December 24th until January 3rd.
Where centres reopen after the Christmas break on Monday 4th January, due to Level 5 restrictions access will be facilitated for childcare and essential services only.
