Parking Control Bye-Laws 2020

A public consultation on the draft Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council Parking Control Bye-Laws 2020 was held from Thursday 12th December 2019 until Friday 31st January 2020.

 

A total of 764 submissions were received in respect of the Draft Bye-Laws. As it is not possible to respond individually to each submission, we wish to thank everyone who took the time to make a submission.

 

The vast majority of submissions related to the proposed increases in on street/off street parking charges (including daily rates), as well as proposed increases in Residential/Visitor Parking Permits.

 

Notice is hereby given that Members of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council at its meeting on Monday 9th March 2020 adopted the Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council Parking Control Bye-Laws 2020. The adopted Bye-Laws will come into effect on the 1st July 2020.

 

The following is a summary of the new parking charges which will be implemented, on a phased basis, throughout the county commencing from 8th July 2020. In this regard, members of the public should  pay particular attention to relevant parking signage over the coming weeks to ensure the correct tarrif is paid.

 

The current €1.50 hourly rate is now increased to €1.70 (€1.60 if paid by cashless operator)

The current €1.00 and €1.20 hourly rate is now increased to €1.30 (€1.20 if paid by cashless operator)

 

All daily parking rates remain unchanged.

 

All Residential/Visitor Parking permits rates remain unchanged

 

Parking enforcement throughout the county will be Monday to Saturday commencing from 1st July 2020.
