Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council in partnership with ESB, Go Car and Yuko have launched a Shared eMobility hub in Sandyford Business Park. The purpose built eHub includes an ESB charge station and two shared EVs available to book at the site. The pilot project aims to make shared electric vehicles affordable and accessible, leading the way for greener, more sustainable communities.

Cllr Jim O’Leary, Cathaoirleach, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council said:

“We are proud to announce the launch of a new electric car share scheme in Sandyford Business District, in partnership with ESB, Go Car, and Yuko. This initiative directly supports our Climate Action Plan 2024-2029, which champions the expansion of EV car sharing. With its concentration of over 1,000 businesses, 26,000 employees, and 6,000 residents, Sandyford Business District is the ideal location to pilot this sustainable transport solution.”

Donal Phelan, Head of Innovation, ESB Group, said:

“Adopting cleaner technologies and sustainable practices, can greatly reduce the transportation sector's carbon footprint and make a substantial impact on our journey towards a net zero future. We are delighted to be working with Fingal County Council and Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council to develop these innovative eHubs at prime locations in Dublin to aid in the promotion of sustainable transportation options. By providing convenient access to shared EVs, these eHubs will encourage more residents and businesses to opt for sustainable travel solutions.”
