dlr Local Enterprise Office Clients Create over 118 JOBS IN 2023

This week, the Minister of State for Business, Employment and Retail, announced the annual results of the Local Enterprise Offices (LEOs) for 2023 which showed the net jobs created by Local Enterprise Office Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown supported clients in 2023 was 118 and the second highest result in Dublin. This figure takes into account companies that amalgamated, ceased trading and those that transferred on to Enterprise Ireland. 

Frank Curran, Chief Executive, Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council said:

"We are delighted to see that net jobs have risen this year by 15% and a significant increase from the 103 net jobs created by LEO Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown clients 2022. Our dlr LEO provides substantial funded supports to thousands of small businesses across the county with programmes such as the Trading Online Voucher, Lean for Business and Green for Business along with training and mentoring and we would encourage businesses to contact our dlr LEO office for support."

Owen Laverty, Head of Enterprise and Economics, Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council said:

"2023 has been another busy year in the dlr LEO, working with great clients in sectors from craft to tech. The strong growth in our client base is a reflection on the strength and dedication of the LEO team.  Our driving ambition is to support new and existing clients at all stages of their business journeys, and we are looking forward to another strong performance in 2024. Hundreds of businesses receive specialised training, mentoring and grants from our office every year”.
