Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council are excited to announce a project to design and create a small pocket park in this community!

This initiative aims to enhance the areas liveability by providing a new, inviting green space for relaxation, recreation, and social interaction.

Pocket parks are compact and serve local users, they can offer unlimited potential for creative and meaningful use.

We are seeking your input and ideas to ensure the park aligns with the needs and preferences of our community.

Why a Pocket Park?

Enhance Community Liveability: Pocket parks offer a valuable opportunity to create vibrant, walkable localities, encouraging a sense of place and belonging.

Provide Relaxation and Recreation: These spaces provide opportunities for residents to relax, enjoy nature, and engage in light recreational activities.

Foster Social Interaction: Pocket parks can serve as gathering places for neighbours to connect, share experiences, and build relationships.

Improve Access to Green Spaces: They provide a much-needed measure of nature and green space.

This consultation aims to engage with the community, to gather ideas and local insight, to form the design and use of this space. Local communities are being invited to complete this online survey and share their ideas.
