The Arts Office, in association with AIB, were delighted to present this exhibition of work by women artists from the AIB Art Collection. The exhibition was specially selected for the Municipal Gallery by a group of women from Women4Women Network dlr who worked with artist/ curator Claire Halpin.
From September 2017 the group met regularly to research the Collection, artists and artworks and the result was this exhibition 'and the Women voted'. The group selected 40 artworks with a variety of media and styles, including photography, print, painting and three-dimensional works. Featuring work by Jackie Nickerson, Elizabeth Cope, Dorothy Cross, Sarah Walker, Amelia Stein and many others.
There were lots of events, workshops and tours for all ages to try out. The Women4Women Network dlr invited women from the County to join them at one of their International Women’s Breakfasts in dlr LexIcon on April 25. There were dementia friendly gallery tours, print workshops for adults, fibre and paper workshops kids.

AIB collected art for 30 years up to 2008 and the collection covers the period from 1880-2008 with more than 3000 pieces by many of the country's finest artists.
Women4Women is a non-profit networking group for women with different life experiences and from different cultures living in Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County.
