‘clann’, a spirited portrait of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County, was a series of large scale photographs by Theresa Nanigian of groups who live, work and play in the county. The work reflected the fact that Irish clans have long been composed of members far beyond blood relations, and demonstrates the cultural shifts in what the county has become and where it might be headed. Nanigian’s exhibition included photographs taken by members of the Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown public in the fondly regarded photo booth.
The exhibition was accompanied by a dynamic Learning Programme organised by Claire Behan and which included talks, guided tours and a range of exhibition related workshops.
Most of these events are free. See the Learning Programme.
